Look no further than the Hylton Center for holiday merriment this season. Our Hylton Presents December performances inspire good will and cheer, so be sure to get your tickets early to Chanticleer, Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy, and annual holiday favorite, the American Festival Pops Orchestra. Chanticleer (12/1), hailed by The New Yorker as “the world’s reigning male chorus,” enchants in a sublime program of Gregorian chant, Renaissance motets, and Christmas carols. Add a Celtic twist to your holiday tradition with Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy joined by their seven talented children in A Celtic Family Christmas (12/8), where homey Christmas celebrations take center stage. The American Festival Pops Orchestra (12/13) returns ready to serve up an evening of treasured holiday classics under the baton of Maestro Anthony Maiello. From musical favorites to audience sing-alongs, this family-friendly, uplifting performance has something for everyone. “Maestro Maiello's warmth and wit comes through in his banter with the audience, inventive programming, and most of all in his inspired conducting of some of this region's most accomplished professional musicians,” (Rick Davis, Dean of George Mason University College of Visual and Performing Arts; Executive Director, Hylton Performing Arts Center). Come home to the Hylton for the holidays! Special guest artists include Angela Knight, Mason Jazz Vocal Ensemble, Darden and Shawn Purcell, and more!
