A Spacious Gallery for Thought-Provoking Art

Located in the award-winning Art and Design Building on the Fairfax campus of George Mason University, the Gillespie Gallery of Art offers a diverse program of exhibitions by emerging and established contemporary artists, thesis exhibitions by current MFA candidates, and a semi-annual School of Art and Design undergraduate senior exhibition.

The Gallery is committed to the presentation of innovative new art and creating a forum for active dialogue, research, and engagement with contemporary visual ideas and artistic practices. Its shows represent a wide sampling of art and artists, as well as the processes involved in their creation.

Location

Parking: Covered parking is available in all parking garages and can be accessed via Patriot Circle, which goes around the campus once you have entered off of Braddock, 123, or University Drive. There is a fee to park in the garages on campus. All other lots are by permit only.

Getting Here: In the Art and Design Building. Approaching from Innovation Hall, walk towards Enterprise Hall, and the Art and Design Building will be on the right. Approaching from Enterprise Hall, the Art and Design Building will be on the left. The gallery is on the first floor directly to the right.
