Hope Spears

Hope Spears is from West Palm Beach, FL and is currently a senior dance major at George Mason. Hope went to Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts and trained at local studios in South Florida. She has attended summer programs such as Bates Dance Festival, The School at Jacob’s Pillow (Contemporary Program), and most recently, the virtual intensives of Doug Varone and the TL Collective. She has worked with numerous artists such as Micaela Taylor, Jae Neal, Darrell Moultrie, Jae Man Joo, Didy Veldman, and Hope Boykin as well as been in pieces by Director Karen Reedy, and faculty members Christopher D’Amboise and Shaun Boyle Darcy. Hope is deeply invested in dance photography and has photographed numerous performances, classes, and residencies for the School of Dance. She has also made some of the films you see on our Instagram and Facebook. Hope is so grateful for the amazing opportunities the faculty and staff have provided and is excited to begin her professional dance career come spring.
