Biography
Amanda Snellings joined George Mason University in 2021. As the Senior Assistant Director of Development for CVPA, Amanda secures support for student scholarships and Center for the Arts programming through corporate sponsorships, grants, alumni/annual giving campaigns, and signature events such as ARTS by George! and the Dance Fête.
Amanda has over a decade of experience in arts management and fundraising, and previously worked with the National MS Society, the Shakespeare Theatre Company, NextStop Theatre Company, Forum Theatre, the Berkshire Theatre Group, Asolo Repertory Theatre, and the Virginia Theatre Association.
Amanda has directed, produced, and performed in community theatre across Northern Virginia and has received several Washington Area Theatre Community Honors (WATCH) nominations for her directing and producing work. She has been the Artistic Director of the City of Fairfax Theatre Company (CFTC) since 2018 and WATCH Board Chair since 2023.
