Biography

Jake Lahah is a trans-disciplinary artist working across print, sculpture, and installation practices. His work explores how visual culture, data, and materiality are testimony to topics on ecology, queerness, and labor. He received his BFA from George Mason University (2017) and an MFA in Print from Tyler School of Art + Architecture (2024). Some of the notable places that Lahah has exhibited include: ICA Baltimore, Baltimore, MD; Candela Books and Gallery, Richmond, VA; Temple Contemporary, Philadelphia, PA; Vox Populi, Philadelphia, PA; Page Bond Gallery, Richmond, VA; Attic 506, Chapel Hill, NC, IA&A at Hillery, Washington, D.C.; Bond Millen Gallery, Richmond, VA; ICA Baltimore, Baltimore, MD; ADA Gallery, Richmond, VA; Temple Contemporary, Philadelphia, PA; and Vox Populi, Philadelphia, PA. He has been a resident artist at Studio Two Three, Richmond, VA and Zygote Press, Cleveland, OH. He is currently an Assistant Adjunct Professor of Foundations at Old Dominion University.

Lehah currently lives in Richmond, VA and teaches within the Foundations Department at Old Dominion University. He recently was awarded a Gay Cultural Studies Research and Creativity Grant via ODU's Women and Gender Studies Department.
