Biography

Tina Kelleher earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from George Mason University. The exceptional coursework at Mason gave her the opportunity to study under and perform works by guest artists such as Randy Warshaw, Mark Taylor, Rachel Lampert, Tish Carter, Terry Creach, Stephen Koester, and Shapiro & Smith. She was a company member of the Deborah Riley Dance Projects in Washington, D.C., for three years before earning her Master of Fine Arts in Dance from Temple University.

It was during a graduate course in Arts Advocacy that Tina discovered her passion for storytelling through grant writing. She transitioned from expressing narratives through choreography and performance to writing compelling grant proposals that help secure funding for mission-driven work.

She has since built a career in nonprofit work, serving as a Director of Development. Her work has raised significant funding and awareness for breast cancer, education, environmental policy, and the disability community.

Tina has also choreographed for independent projects in Philadelphia, the Washington, D.C., metro area, and Castiglioncello, Italy. She previously served as an alumni panelist at George Mason University, mentoring students interested in nonprofit careers.

Tina is honored to serve as Chapter President of the College of Visual and Performing Arts Alumni Chapter. She looks forward to fostering connections across our vibrant and diverse community of artists, including those fromart,arts management, computer game design, dance, film and video, music,andtheater, and is grateful for the opportunity to help strengthen and celebrate the creative excellence of CVPA alumni across all disciplines.
