Ana Farnham is a multimedia designer and educator with a broad range of specialties within the design world. She believes in the accessibility of multi-modal design. Her research focuses on experiential graphic design with accessibility at its core.

She earned her M.F.A. in Graphic Design at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), with her thesis titled, Neuro Divergent. This was an exploration of what it feels like to have different learning disabilities/differences and how the methods of learning used by those with learning differences can be used by all. Prior to her work at MICA, Ana completed a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and a B.S. in Advertising at Boston University.

At MICA Ana held teaching internships in Graphic Design II (HTML/CSS and Web Design), Signs Exhibits Spaces, Immersive Experience Lab, and Typography II. Ana began her career as a professional designer in the DC area. She worked at the American Health Lawyers Association a non-profit that disseminated educational materials. She then worked for Top Shelf Design a small print and web design firm. From there she moved on to HealyKohler Design, a museum exhibition design firm. Along with teaching Ana has an active freelance design practice. She has worked with clients such as Adobe, Intel, the Smithsonian, the National Park Service, the World Bank, and more.
