Biography
Eric Thornton is a Midwest transplant to the D.C. metro area. Trained as an artist and potter, he has participated in several international artist-in-residence programs at the International Ceramic Center in Kecskemet, Hungary as well as the Zentrum fur Keramik Berlin, Germany. As part of these projects he worked with local partners including chefs, museums, galleries, and international artists to conduct research and rigorous studio exhibitions. Currently, he resides in Washington DC after completing an Arts Management degree at George Mason University while working for the contemporary art museum, Glenstone and American Academy of Arts and Sciences. After completing his degree, he joined the Mason’s Arts Management team full-time as the Marketing and Recruitment Coordinator. He maintains a creative practice and supports of emerging arts organizations.
