Biography

Paul Damasco is a technical specialist within the College of Visual and Performing Arts at George Mason University. His specializations include Apple and Dell computer repair, university application support, remote support, and JAMF pro 300 certification for Apple systems administration. Over the years Paul has worked at Patriot Tech, ITS Desktop Support, and ITS Advanced Desktop Technologies to provide support to students, staff, and direct support to the university leadership team.

Paul studied music at George Mason University and also holds a BA in music with a minor in music technology. He plays the Euphonium and Trombone. During his studies at Mason, he was in numerous ensembles throughout the years including the Mason Wind Ensemble, Mason Concert Band, Mason Brass Ensemble, Green Machine, and the Mason Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble. He traveled with the tuba and euphonium ensemble to perform with them at the International Tuba and Euphonium Conference (ITEC).

During his studies Paul also earned his CompTIA A+ certification which covers software and hardware service of several computer brands and modern operating systems as well as general computer hardware. He served as the sole computer technician for Patriot Tech for several years while finishing his degree and continued his career in ITS before landing back home helping to support the faculty and staff within the college of visual and performing arts.
