Seth Novick

Seth Novick is a seasoned career development professional with over two decades of experience in creative talent recruitment and higher education. He currently serves as Career Development and Alumni Engagement Coordinator at CVPA.

Seth began his career after earning a BFA in Medical Illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an MFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design. He ventured into freelance illustration before transitioning to creative and technical recruiting upon his move to Washington, DC in 1998. He joined Randstad, a global staffing and employment solutions provider, where he launched his recruiting career ultimately making his mark as Practice Manager and Subject Matter Expert for the Creative Division, leading efforts to connect top-tier talent with organizations across advertising, marketing communications, public relations, government, and nonprofit sectors.

Seth has also served as Career Services Director at Boston University’s Center for Digital Imaging Arts, DC Campus, Senior Career Development and Learning Specialist at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and the Senior Career Coach Manager, Global Outcomes at General Assembly, where he developed impactful career development programming and community partnerships to help students transition into professional roles and supported a network of career coaches worldwide.

His commitment to the community is evident through his past role as adjunct instructor at the Art Institute of Washington, where he taught Career Development. He has also spoken at numerous colleges and universities, participated in The Washington Post online live chats, and served as Education Co-Chair of the Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington (ADCMW), in addition to having been actively involved in the DC Ad Club.
