Biography
Yong Eun Kim is a faculty member in the Computer Game Design program at George Mason University and serves as Assistant Director of the Korea Serious Game Institute (KSGI). His work explores the convergence of music, sound design, and emerging interactive technologies in digital media, with research interests including spatial audio, AI-driven media experiences, and K-culture–based interactive content. Kim is an audio director, composer, and conductor whose work includes the award-winning MMORPG Lost Ark and globally recognized television series such as Queen of Tears, Crash Landing on You, and Mr. Sunshine. His expertise bridges creative composition and the technical design of immersive sound systems. He has collaborated with artists and organizations across diverse media, ranging from European orchestras such as the Philharmonia Orchestra to K-pop artists like IU. Kim holds degrees from the University of Toronto, Berklee College of Music, and the Seoul Institute of the Arts.
