Applying is a Two-Step Process
The College of Visual and Performing Arts requires you to apply to George Mason University, submit a portfolio, and/or attend an audition or interview, as required by each academic unit.
Each program has a specific procedure for admissions, as well as some unique requirements - dependent on the type of student you are. Locate your program of interest in the Graduate or Undergraduate sections for more information, deadlines and scholarship opportunities.
Get Started Now
- Visit the campus and meet with your program of interest. Visit an Open House.
- Schedule an audition with the School of Dance, the Dewberry School of Music, or the School of Theater.
- Submit your portfolio to the Film and Video Studies Program or Computer Game Design Program.
