Robert is an independent choreographer, and their work has been performed by Company E Dance, Spark Movement Collective, Bucknell University, Cleveland Dance Project, Jane Franklin Dance, Luna Dance Company, and Terre Dance Collective.

Hope Spears is an artist from West Palm Beach, Florida, who began her dance training at a young age. She pursued her passion at George Mason University, where she earned a BFA in Dance from the College of Visual and Performing Arts.

Center for the Arts engagement activities with Mason Artist-in-Residence Ballet Hispánico include a master class and classroom visits with George Mason students, workshops for area schools and community groups, Latin social dances for the public and Mason community, and a free school time performance.

A new flexible and wide-ranging partnership between the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in the United Kingdom and George Mason University's School of Dance offers exciting possibilities for research, collaboration, and cultural exploration.

On April 13, the oldest modern dance ensemble in the country, Martha Graham Dance Company, returns to the Center with a program that celebrates the company’s 100th anniversary through iconic classics and new work. The spectacular program features pieces by choreographers Agnes de Mille, Jamar Roberts, and of course, Martha Graham, including a special performance by Mason School of Dance students.  

George Mason University’s School of Dance presents the 2024 Mason School of Dance Gala Concert on March 22 and 23, celebrating a rich array of diverse choreographic voices that span from the early days of modern dance to the freshest perspectives of today.
