CVPA faculty

  • Fresh from design school, Rick got his start at one of D.C.’s premier design firms, Supon Design Group. He then moved on to be one of the initial members of the design team for Discovery Communications as Senior Design Manager.

  • Reid Harward is a studio artist and software developer, working with ceramics, print, and digital media. Reid has a BA from Berea College, and a MA from West Virginia University in English Literature, with a focus on text analysis, and epoetry.

  • Brandon Wallace’s artistic passion lies in telling stories through drawing and painting. Wallace holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from The Maryland Institute College of Art and a Master of Fine Arts in Illustration from Syracuse University. 

  • Clifford Pun is an artist, photographer, and designer. His body of work is about his “Asianicity,” a drag masquerade of staged, self-portraits that explore ideas of persona, identity, sexuality, gender, and race.

  • janet e. dandridge is an Interdisciplinary Artivist who encourages awareness and discourse around, as well as solutions to, ideologies that perpetuate injustice. janet intersplices theatrical performance, photography, empirical data, identity politics and whimsy into a keen reflection on social constructs and governing policies.

  • Matthew Conboy has a PhD in Interdisciplinary Arts from Ohio University, an MFA in Design and Photography from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BS in Architecture from the Catholic University of America.

  • Tenor Richard Leech is the newly appointed Associate Professor of Voice and Opera at George Mason University, effective Fall 2023. American tenor Richard Leech is one of the most celebrated lyric tenors of his generation.

  • Dr. Andrea Reinkemeyer, internationally performed American composer, joins the faculty of George Mason University in Fall 2023 as Associate Professor and Director of Composition. Widely commissioned by orchestras, universities, and chamber ensembles across the United States, critics hail Dr. Reinkemeyer’s unique synesthetic soundscapes that blur the boundary between sound and vision, to “magical” (Fanfare) and even “enchanting” effect (International Choral Bulletin).

  • Sisc Johnson joined the staff of the School of Art in 2023 as the Assistant Director of Operations and Business. Sisc graduated from George Mason University with a BFA in Photography.

  • Kelly Renee Armstrong is an actor and writer who facilitates creative interaction as an educator.
