After 18 months of renovations, Mason's Harris Theatre is once again open for performances.

Art is essential to a university's learning environment and invites research partnerships across all disciplines, said George Mason University Curator Don Russell. A new arts space in Arlington—Mason Exhibitions Arlington at 3601 Fairfax Drive—is one such partnership that is already generating a buzz.

Mason graduate student Deion Maith joined Mason’s Anti-Racism and Inclusive Excellence (ARIE) Task Force because he thinks it’s important to share lived experiences with other students and faculty/staff.

Mason alum Alexander Hammett recently received Miami Indie Films’ Best Director Award for directing “Tale of Tarot,” a film written by fellow Mason alum Aaliyah-Janay Williams.

Lily Patterson knew she wanted to make things when she began her studies at George Mason University.

Spelman College in Atlanta recently named Mason alum Liz Andrews executive director of Spelman College Museum of Fine Art. She began her new role Aug. 2.

Mason professor Justin Sutters’ enthusiasm and dedication were evident to the members of the National Art Education Association (NAEA), who honored him with the 2021 Southeastern Region Higher Education Art Educator Award.
