The literal translation of that morsel of Latin is “without which not.” An inelegant phrase at best, gibberish at worst. But the real meaning is beautiful: something essential, something necessary, something without which something else would not exist.

It has never been more important than the present to provide arts education, both inside and outside the traditional classroom. The Hylton Center has taken up that charge – to give meaningful and rich arts education opportunities for students of all ages.

The Hylton Center Education Initiative has extended its digital program offerings this fall to students and teachers through a multi-part Virtual Field Trip, featuring acclaimed family music artists, Dan and Claudia Zanes.
