Stage Director for Mason Opera, Dewberry School of Music, CVPAGene Galvin, bass-baritone, earned the B.A. in Music Education from Frostburg State University, the M.M. in Voice Performance from The Catholic University of America, and the D.M.A. in Opera Performance from the University of Maryland, where he studied with Dominic Cossa.
Assistant Professor, School of Theater, CVPAErin Gardiner (B.M.from James Madison University) has taught the Musical Theater Workshop at George Mason University for the last three years and is co-director of the Mason Cabaret as part of Mason’s Musical Theater program.
Adjunct Faculty (Trumpet), Dewberry School of Music, CVPADr. Kevin Gebo is an internationally performing trumpeter as well as a freelance musician and soloist in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Dr. Gebo frequently travels as a guest performer and clinician to universities and festivals and has been on faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University and West Chester University as Adjunct Professor of Trumpet.
Full Professor, School of Theater, CVPAEdward Gero, (Associate Professor, B.A., Montclair State College) is Performance Area Head for the School of Theatre at Theater at George Mason University.
Admin/ Programs & Purchasing, Mason Community Arts Academy, CVPAWith a Bachelor of Arts in Music Industry from Minnesota State University — Moorhead and a Graduate Certificate in Arts Management from George Mason University, Matt has enjoyed a varied and well-rounded career including dancer, choreographer, dance instructor, booking agent, art gallery sales, marketer, program manager, event coordinator, grant writer and more. Now with more than a decade of experience at the Academy, Matt provides administrative and creative support to all areas of the organization.
Director of MUSIC TECHNOLOGY and COMPOSITION, Dewberry School of Music, CVPADr. Gillam is an active educator, having taught at several higher-education institutions across the United States. His primary areas of interest are in music technology, composition, sound design, commercial music and music for media.
