  • Lori Clark is a full-time dancer/choreographer and holds a Masters Degree in Dance from American University.

  • Edward Gero, (Associate Professor, B.A., Montclair State College) is Performance Area Head for the School of Theatre at Theater at George Mason University.

  • As Director of Development for the College of Visual and Performing Arts since 2014, Susan plays a leadership role in the College’s overall development efforts.

  • Professor Jim Carroll has a versatile background ranging from tours with Michael Jackson to Woody Herman and The Thundering Herd.  Jim received both his Undergraduate and Graduate training from Indiana University under the tutelage of David Baker and Eugene Rousseau.

  • Dr. Lisa Bloy earned a B.M. from Oberlin Conservatory, her M.M. from Pennsylvania University, and a DMA from Michigan State University. As an adjunct faculty member at GMU, Dr. Bloy has accompanied many students from both vocal and instrumental studios and has worked with the GMU opera classes.

  • Serving as Director of Campus Life Ensembles and Collaborative Arts, and as an Associate Professor of Music, Dr. Michael W. Nickens (a.k.a. Doc Nix) is most recognized as the leader of the “Green Machine”, which in 2015 was named the #1 pep band in college basketball by the NCAA and commended by the Senate and House of Delegates of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

  • Edward Knoeckel is a composer, pianist, music educator and conductor. As an educator, he has developed curriculum for community summer arts programs, public education, as well as having held university and college faculty positions in music theory, American music history, music for dance, music for motion pictures, as well as performance practice.

  • Thomas Britt joined Film and Video Studies in 2007 as the first full-time faculty member hired by the program.
