Chair of the Arts at Mason Board (AAMB)Dr. Salmon is Associate Dean, Emerita, Graduate Studies, College of Visual and Performing Arts, George Mason University. She retired May 2014 from the position, but continues her work supporting CVPA. Fall 2019, Dr. Salmon was appointed Chair of the Arts at Mason Board, after serving several years as a director and member of the Development Committee.
Adjunct Faculty, School of Dance, CVPASamantha Salters holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Dance alongside a Certificate in Comparative Ethnic (Africana) Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder. Samantha was selected for the Gail Pokoik Scholarship, which is awarded to a single graduate student each year based on their talent and commitment to the arts.
Adjunct Faculty, Film and Video Studies, CVPAMay Santiago is an emerging film scholar and micro-budget filmmaker. Her work focuses on themes of intersectional identity within mental health, queer identity, and decolonization.
Coordinator/ Programs & Registration, Mason Community Arts Academy, CVPAAlaina graduated Magna Cum Laude from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater in 2012. Having previously worked with Mason Community Arts Academy as Coordinator of Private Music Lessons, Alaina now joins us as Coordinator of Programs & Registration supporting MCAA’s year-round classes and summer programming. Alaina has been a part of the Acting For Young People team since 2009 as a Senior Teaching Artist, Administrative Assistant, and Resident Actor.
Adjunct Faculty, Arts Management, CVPAMary Margaret Schoenfeld is an independent arts management consultant. She provides facilitation, program and project management, training and technical assistance, and develops and supports peer learning networks, working primarily with foundations and arts councils.
