  • Dennis Edelbrock

    Adjunct Faculty, TRUMPET, Dewberry School of Music, CVPA

    Dennis Edelbrock has performed with The United States Army Band and the Army Brass Quintet since 1975. Since that time, he has also written music used frequently at official state ceremonies at the White House, NBC’s “Christmas in Washington”, country music’s televised show “Nashville Now”, as well as music used in the opening ceremonies for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games and Special Olympics.

    Praised for her “natural expressiveness” (Montpelier Times Argus), Dr. Jessica Powell Eig has crafted a dynamic and varied career performing on double bass, violone and viola da gamba.
  • Emily Foster

    Adjunct Applied Faculty, OBOE, Dewberry School of Music, CVPA

    Originally from Newark, Delaware, Emily Foster joined The United States Air Force Band in Washington, DC in 2013 and was appointed as Adjunct Oboe Faculty at George Mason University in 2019.

    Gerald Fowkes, cellist and conductor, is a graduate of Louisiana State University where he graduated summa cum laude in Cello Performance.
  • Edward Fraedrich

    Adjunct Faculty, SAXOPHONE, Dewberry School of Music, CVPA

    Ed Fraedrich, saxophone, joined the faculty of GMU in the fall of 2011 after having established a successful private studio in the area. He has performed solos with many ensembles, including the National Symphony Orchestra and the Fairfax Wind Symphony.
  • Jeremy Freer

    Green Machine Associate Director and Music Technology/Theory, Dewberry School of Music, CVPA

    Jeremy Freer is Administrative Faculty and is Associate Director of Green Machine Ensembles and works closely with Dr. Glenn Smith with the Music and Wellness program. He has taught Music in Motion Pictures, Popular Music Arranging, Jazz History, and Brass Techniques for the School of Music and teaches student arrangers, acoustic groups, photobombing techniques, and rock bands for the nationally acclaimed Green Machine.
  • Eugene Galvin

    Adjunct Faculty, Applied Voice, BASS-BARITONE: Stage Director for Mason OPERA, Dewberry School of Music, CVPA

    Dr. Gene Galvin, bass-baritone, earned the BA in Music Education from Frostburg State University, the MM in Voice Performance from The Catholic University of America, and the DMA in Opera Performance from the University of Maryland, where he studied with Dominic Cossa.
  • Kevin Gebo

    Adjunct Faculty, TRUMPET, Dewberry School of Music, CVPA

      Dr. Kevin Gebo is an internationally performing trumpeter as well as a freelance musician and soloist in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Dr. Gebo frequently travels as a guest performer and clinician to universities and festivals and has been on faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University and West Chester University as Adjunct Professor of Trumpet.

      Dr. Gillam is an active educator, having taught at several higher-education institutions across the United States. His primary areas of interest are in music technology, composition, sound design, commercial music and music for media.

      Dr. Emily H. Green enjoys scholarship on a number of areas of music history. Her first interest in musicology concerns strategies of music publishing and marketing in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century western Europe and America.
